When you say stiff gears do you mean baulked noisy and obstructive changes or that lever itself is stiff?

Hiya I've got no gears the gear stick goes in every gear just does move the car when I try and pull away it make a difference sound cheers

Linkage looks ok but I've noticed that there is a spring at the back of the gear stick not sure what that dies or if it's meant to be there cheers
