Hyundai i10 - Warranty Cover - Hiball
Recently bought my I10 Sep 2014 first registered Jan 2014, have suddenly developed water ingress and took it in to the dealer who confirmed a lot of water present in the car and told me it would need to have seats and carpets removed and dried and problem detected and fixed. However I get the feeling I could be subjected to a charge for this, the car is still on its 5 year warranty can I expect this to be covered by the warranty.

It'll depend on the dealer - not Hyundai UK perversely - our Hyundai dealer in Birmingham was very good, never once even suggesting an item might not be covered by the warranty but I have heard tales that some dealers seem to reject everything, in many cases without even referring the claim to Hyundai UK.

I think it depends on the reason for the leak. If it's something like a sub-standard seal, it should be covered; but if there is any suggestion of damage through an accident or the weather, then it would be an insurance job.

In your conversations with the dealer, at least start with the assumption that it'll be covered.

Recent experience with a friends I 10. Which kept flattening the battery leads me to the conclusion that Hyundai s are not quite as reliable as they were. And the difficult time we had convincing the main dealer that there was a problem

Could this be anything to do with establishing production outside Koria ?
