Audi A6 2.5TDi Avant 2003(Multitronic), Display problems????

My A6 seems to have developed gremlims in the driver information system. It started with the AIRBAG warning light going on/off. Then the multitronic display would show a negative display and this would come and go (car drives fine with all gears working). Now on startup instead of the display showing "When Stationary Apply Footbrake While Selecting Gear" goes straight to OK and shows normal display of Radio station. Any help would be very appreciated.

Damp got into the circuit affecting the can bus system. Make sure the bulkhead vent well is draining of rainwater properly.
