Is it common for Citroen Xsaras to snap cam belts at 56,000 miles?

I've just had a cam belt snap on my Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6 HDI 110 bhp at 56,000 miles and under six years old. Has anybody else experience of a similar problem? The servicing schedule says 150,000 miles.

It's not common for these belts to fail prematurely but it can and has happened. 150,000 miles is ridiculously optimistic. They need replacing at 60,000 - 80,000 miles.
