What does 'Unblock Diesel Filter' mean on my Citroen C5?

Please can you confirm what 'Unblock Diesel Filter' means on my Citroen C5? My local garage (non-franchise) state that they have checked and can't see why this fault is being notified on the dashboard. Please can you confirm you estimation of the costs to rectify the above problem if the filter needs to be replaced? I would also appreciate if you could advise you estimate of the value of this C5 estate 2.2 diesel HDi SX model, 85,000 miles, 51 plate. Please can you also advise your recommendations on how to sell this car?

This should not be an expensive job. I would guess that emulsified diesel fuel is blocking the filter, so the filter is fulfilling its purpose. The car isn't worth much and the trade knows it may well need a new diesel particulate filter so marks it down for that reason. With 85,000 miles it would trade at about £850.
