Does the turbo share the engine oil or is it self-contained?

I own a 2007 Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTI. Does the turbo share the engine oil or is it self-contained?

Engine oil. But the oil feed and oil return pipes can become blocked with carbon if the engine is frequently shut down when the turbo is too hot. This then starves the turbo bearing of its lubrication as well as its cooling.
