Do I need to have the emissions fix on my Skoda Octavia?

I own a 2013 Skoda Octavia Scout 2.0 TDI (42,000 miles). I've had two letters from Skoda inviting me to have the emissions fix undertaken, but I am happy with the car. Do I need to have the fix done, or can I leave well alone and run it as is? Will it effect re-sale value if I don't have the fix?

You don't have to have it done and until it is made compulsory. The best advice is not to have it done because there is a high chance of it ruining the performance and economy of your car.
