We bought a Fiat Pop 500 2 years ago It's done under 30,000 miles and gearbox broken we wondered if there are known faults with these cars?

Transmissions on small cars like FIATs and VW Polos were never consistently good and there was always a chance of getting a duff one. But if your 500 was new when you bought it, the transmission failure is a FIAT warranty matter.
