Honda Jazz airbag recall

I received a Safety Recall Notice from Honda dated 31 May 2016 stating the driver's airbag in my Jazz needs to be replaced. Having heard nothing since, I contacted Honda UK and they informed me that this work would hopefully be carried out by the end of 2016 as they do not have the parts in stock. I do not think this is a satisfactory timeframe. Is there anything I can do? What are my legal rights reading this matter?

This is part of the worldwide Takata airbag recall that goes back more than 15 years and affects tens of millions of cars, so that's why it will take until the end of 2016 before sufficient replacement airbags can be manufactured.
