Should I buy this 2006 Ford Fiesta for my son?

I have been looking around for a car for my son and have found a Ford Fiesta 2006 Ghia 1.4 five-door with 31,000 miles, petrol engine and manual gearbox. The asking price is £5000 - do you think this reasonable and a good car to get?

That sounds a decent price and the Fiesta is an ideal car for younger drivers as it's reliable and cheap to run. That mileage is below average too. If he looks after it, it shouldn't lose too much money either, especially as it's a Ghia.
