How can I repair my Vauxhall Corsa so it passes the MOT emissions test?

My 1999 Vauxhall Corsa just failed its MOT on emissions. I can't afford to let the garage put it right so I need to have a go myself, but I have no idea what is causing the problem. How do I find out?

Considering that you do not have the correct figures for your car and also the equipment to measure the exhaust gases, I would suggest that you would have to take it to a garage for it to be set correctly
