Should I sell my Audi A3 diesel as I'm not covering the mileage I expected to?

I bought our 2007 Audi A3 diesel new when I anticipated an annual mileage of 10-15,000. This has not materialised and we currently do approximately 7000. Having already done 25,000 miles, should I trade this in now, possibly replacing it with a one-year-old low mileage vehicle, or run this car pretty much into the ground?

It's entirely up to you and whether you like it or not. But you could face DMF and DPF problems, so it's probably better to get out and into something like a Citroen DS3 1.6THP150 Sport.
