Fuel injector replacement on Toyota Avensis

I have just had a 'Reman injector (fuel)' fitted to my Toyota Avensis, by a main dealer. I was charged £194.44 + vat, and plus labour, but then they added a surcharge of £57.00 + vat, as they stated that they needed to send back the old fuel injector in replacement of the new one. Is the normal practice?

You got a remanufactured injector and part of the deal was to return your old injector to the remanufacturer for it to be rebuilt for someone else. If it was beyond repair you would lose the £57.
