Do the Audi A3 diesels require Adblue?

I'm thinking about buying a new Audi A3 Sportback TDI. Not yet decided if it will be the 1.6TDI or 2.0TDI. Do either of these engines require the uses of AdBlue? Are there any reliability issues associated with the use of AdBlue?

2.0TDI probably needs AdBlue; 1.6 might not. Get a petrol.
