Why is my Peugeot 207 HDI cutting out?

My Peugeot 207 1.6 HDI has done just 22,000 miles and has been owned from last December. It's 58 reg and I'm the second owner. Three times now the car has cut out whilst driving in different conditions - once while overtaking on the A1, and another time at slower speed in town traffic. The engine management light comes on along with the anti-pollution light. Any idea what's going on?

Yes, the DPF is not regenerating properly. But 22,000 miles tells me you are driving long enough distances. I'd get it back to the dealer and ask for the FAP system to be checked. It might have run out of fluid. If you ever use the car for repeated short runs from cold starts, what you describe is typical.
