I want a 4x4 - would you pick the Nissan Patrol, Daihatsu Fourtrak or the Mitshubshi Shogun Sport?

I am after a 4x4 and I've got around £4000 to spend. I've being doing a lot of research on the net and have looked at, and test driven, a few, including the Nissan Patrol, Daihatsu Fourtrak and Mitshubshi Shogun Sport. Just wondered which you thought would be best. I want to use it for going to the tip and to keep me moving in the bad weather. What do you think?

They're all fairly crude and basic. The Shogun Sport is basically an L200 pick-up, but drives better than the floaty Nissan Patrol. The Fourtrack was the old Yorkshire farmer's favourite some years ago, but is getting long in the tooth. You might as well also consider a Nissan Terrano II and a Shogun/Pajero 2.8, which has the benefit of a chain cam engine.
