My CR-V has a DPF problem

I have a three-year-old CR-V that has done 37,000 since new. It has misfired, which has been reported to dealer and Honda UK. The misfire is getting worse. I had a DPF warning light come on three weeks ago and again this weekend. Honda dealer does not want to help and Honda UK is sitting on the fence regarding the problem.

The CR-V 2.2iDTEC can have this problem is used for repeated short runs from cold. If the DPF cannot be force regenerated by the dealer then one choice is to have it cleaned out by the Ceramex process and the other is to replace it completely. Once fixed, make sure you run it on Shell V-Power Nitro Plus diesel and also make sure you never do more than a couple of short runs from cold of less then 5 miles without following up with a longer run of at least 20 miles.
