2014 Qashqai towbars - when will Nissan resolve the current towbar fault?

In August I bought a new Nissan Qashqai with a towbar. However, after my money was taken, I was told by the dealer that the Qashqai towbars had a technical fault and I've not been able to get a date for this issuing being resolved.

I purchased the car to tow a trailer. Please can you push then to resolve - its October and has been dragging on too long. I am losing time, money and lack of use on this issue - with no offer of additional compensation. Could even be a case of mis-selling the product? Noticed it was voted What Car - Best Towing car of the year!

The irony is not lost. I have got onto Nissan's head of PR.
