MINI rear wheels making a rubbing noise

My MINI Cooper S (2002) has started making a rubbing noise at slow speeds. It appears to be coming from the rear wheels, any idea what could be the cause?

Could be that a suspension arm bush is worn and that the inner wall of one of the back tyres is rubbing against the damper. I used to get this on original Minis. Not heard of it on BMW MINIs before.
