Does my diesel Renault Kangoo have an injector fault?

Three days ago I tried to start my 2006 diesel Renault Kangoo and it took ages to start. When I start on a hill it fires right away and goes well. My nephew took off the tubes to the injectors and, on cranking, number three injector was showing fuel coming out while the other three were dry. Does this mean it is number three that is at fault or could it be the filter?

Depends what sort of diesel this is. If it has a distribution diesel pump then that would only feed one injector at a time. If it is a common rail diesel (which I don't think it can be), all are fed simultaneously at very high pressure. You'll get the best help for diesels from www.dieselbob.co.uk
