Jaguar X-Type Estate - does it have isofix fittings?

I need to have isofixings installed in my 2008 Jaguar X-type estate in order to take my grandchildren's current and future car seats, in accordance with developing rulings on child car seats.

Despite reading that all cars built post-2006 should be isofix friendly, I have been told by my Jaguar dealership that the X-type estate cannot take these fixings. Are there any ways round this?

Use the seatbelt mountings to instal straps for non ISOFIX seats.Do not use the seatbelts themselves to hold the child seats in. The legislation cannot retrospectively ban all cars not fitted with ISOFIX from carrying children. That would be ridiculous.
