2013 B max keeps having a timing fault, car loses power dangerous on motorways, no indications on dash, 4 times

New Bmax 2013 4 times since purchase last year loss of power when using car ie suddenly 30 mph on motorway cos engine protecting itself, bristol street says its a timing problem but car computer not showing fault so each time it happens have to drive car straight to garage while it's faulty otherwise they can't do anything... Has anyone else found same fault or do we have a lemon... My wife as severe health problems and we can't have an unreliable car....please help

Will record this but have not heard of it before. Can't tell you if it's a problem with the transmission or with the engine. Do recommend that you switch to Shell V-Power Nitro Plus petrol. If the problem is fuel system related, this will clear it up and the engine will run more smoothly. A reason why the fault does not show up in diagnosis could be failure of the fuel tank sender pump that pumps fuel from the fuel tank to the injection pump. A duff earth on that or its relay does not show up in diagnosis.
