2008 or 2010 Hyundai i30?

I am looking to buy a used estate and I am interested in the Hyundai i30 1.6CRDi and the Kia Cee'd SW 1.6CRDi . I am considering cars from between 2008 to 2010 and they range from £6k to £8K.

Are there any problems or things of note to consider with the 08, 09 or 10 cars? I realise age impacts the long warranties but from what I can see a 2008 model with mileage of 30-40K is significantly cheaper than a 2010 of a similar mileage. As for everyone money is tight so I would need a pretty good reason to pay the extra cash.

Am I making the most of my money buying the newer model?

Nothing much to worry about. See the entries in www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar

A 2010 might have a diesel particulate filter and DPFs should be avoided.
