What causes heavy windscreen condensation?

My 2007 Kia Picanto is suffering with heavy windscreen condensation. It’s always on the screen, but the rest of the car is dry and I can’t find any leaks. Any idea what could be causing it?

Probably a blocked and sodden pollen filter.
