Service history not as advertised

I bought a used Mercedes-Benz from an approved dealer in September 2011. The car was advertised as FSH, but no service book was supplied as the Mercedes dealer said all services are recorded on their database.

I’ve just tried to sell the car and the buyer noticed, after being supplied with the service document from Mercedes, that there is no record of any service prior to it arriving at the dealership I bought it from.

No service history for two years and 32,000-miles is a large gap and the buyer walked away after offering £1000 less. Do I have any recourse from the dealer, as they sold me a car advertised with FSH and it doesn't have it?

Go back to the dealer who sold you the car and ask him for the £1000 you lost. If he doesn't cough up, tell him you will sue him for it using small claims. If he still doesn't pay up, do just that.
