Ford Fiesta alarm going off in the night

The alarm on my 53 plate Ford Fiesta Zetec keeps going off randomly. This only happens at night (usually between 0000-0400). I stop it with the remote key (keep it by the bed now!) and when I go down the car refuses to lock using the remote key or by putting the key in the lock. The locks just spring back open.

I've moved the car away from bushes as I know cats get under there at night and thought them running under car might be setting it off.

This might be caused by a bug flying around inside the car or a spider crawling over the sensor.

Or it might be caused by over sensitivity to changes in air pressure inside the car. You can minimise these by closing all closable vents, switching to 'recirculate', turning the heater to max heat and turning the airflow direction to the footwell. This used to work for me when I had a similar problem.
