Repairing old fuel tanks

I read the question in your Telegraph column (from ND in Lincolnshire) about a Mitsubishi Sigma fuel tank that's leaking.

You advised finding a plastic tank or a racing fuel tank - we actually refurbish leaking and rusted fuel tanks using our RENU process (we cut the tank open, shot blast back to bare metal and line inside with this liquidised rubber material). It can be done on almost any tank; we save a lot of vintage tanks in this way. I thought this might be of interest both to you and to the reader with the Mitsubishi Sigma tank. That is useful. Thank you. The cost is probably greater than a new tank, but if he can't get a new tank then he has no choice.
