I put a small amount of petrol in my diesel car?

I recently put 0.4 litres of petrol into my Audi A3 Sportback TDI 170 Quattro. I then put over 50 litres of diesel in. After 220 miles, I filled up with diesel again. There have been no obvious effects from the petrol. Am I likely to have caused long term damage to the car?

No. You have probably got away with it. But be aware that the petrol will "float" on top of the diesel, only gradually dissipating into it. Don't let the fuel level get low for at least 2,000 miles.
