Should I buy this seventeen-year-old Renault camper van?

I have seen a 1996 Renault Romero camper van with a 1.7-litre engine and low mileage which has been sat for some time. I am thinking about buying it. Do you know anything about these vehicles?

Camper vans are based on commercial vehicles which are designed to clock up 200,000 miles in a few years before being sold to builders or scrapped. They aren't designed to sit unused for eight months of the year. There will be all kinds of age-related chassis, suspension and mechanical problems with a camper of that age.
