Which large diesel 4x4 should I buy for towing a boat?

I am planning to replace my car with a 2.0-litre or 2.5-litre diesel 4x4 to tow a light boat and I'm unsure what to buy. The village we live in is approached by a steep hill and I also need it to cope with slipways. A car that can select either two or four wheel drive and differential sounds ideal. I will probably have to buy secondhand with a budget of £25,000. Can you please make a couple of suggestions?

A KIA Sorento or Hyundai Santa Fe are both good ideas. There's a new Santa Fe on the way so there may be discounts on the current model. www.drivethedeal.com can be good for Hyundais and KIAs.
