Will our Volkswagen Eos remain reliable indefinitely?

We own a 2008 Volkswagen Eos. It has done just 14,000 miles and is a super car. My husband thinks that perhaps we should think about changing it for another new car as now, after four years, things will start to go wrong. My argument is that as we have it serviced regularly the cost of repairs would not be anything like what we would have to pay out for a new car next year.

The most likely failure will be the very many seals in the multi-piece folding roof. It is just too complicated to remain completely leak-free indefinitely.
