Can you warn your readers of this trap for users of Cornwall Council car parks?

A cautionary note to visitors to Cornwall and in particular to those using car parks controlled by Cornwall Council parking services. If the ticket machine issues you with a ticket perforated down the right-hand side and labelled ‘REMINDER’ do not assume that you can take the REMINDER portion with you. I did and received a parking penalty because the machine prints the time etc on the ticket as though it is a single unperforated ticket and the REMINDER portion must be left attached!! Yet another way of penalising the unsuspecting motorist.

An extraordinary, deliberate trap. Thank you for the warning. Must be open season on emmets. (Subs note, as if you didn’t know: Emmet is a Cornish term used to describe tourists, just as Grockle is the Devon and Somerset term for same.)
