Honda fixed my faulty gearbox for free.

I have a 2003 Honda Jazz. When it was seven years old, I had reason to call at the service department of Brayley Honda, Hemel Hempstead, where the service manager drove my car about 10 yards and informed me that the noise I could only just hear was a gearbox defect. I was informed that repairs could cost £1500 for parts plus labour. However, he then said that he would contact Honda and see if they would finance this. Two days later my car was collected and repaired at no cost to me. This was excellent service from Honda and Brayley.

This is a standard problem with the bearings in Jazz manual transmissions. Honda has been very good about it, but now draws the line at repairing seven-year-old cars.
