Which used estate car for £4k?

I would like to know you thoughts on used estate cars? I do minimal mileage and am looking for a lot of spec for my limited £4k. I can't make my mind up between what version of Audi I want or going for a Mondeo. Not fussed whether it's petrol or deisel.

Mondeo. More reliable and if it does go wrong it's cheaper to fix.

Very good to drive. Comfortable on long distances. Well built interior. Good value as a used buy. TDCi diesels offer great economy. Huge estate versions ideal for load lugging.
