2009 Fiesta Econetic - surely it's Congestion Charge exempt?
I have a Ford Fiesta Econetic, which is a sub 99g/km car. So I applied to be registered as 'London C-Charge' exempt.
After some delay, TfL have written back saying that my vehicle does not meet the Euro 5 standard and is therefore ineligible for exemption. Yet it would appear to be exactly the same vehicle as the one which in 2010 model year IS exempt. It seems rather unfair that in order to gain exemption I should trade in my car for exactly the same car with a later plate. Is there any way around this?

I don't think this is correct. I think your car does meet EU5.
