Screeching Kia Rio - what could it be?

I have a Kia Rio 2005 which screeches for a couple of minutes on start up. I have had the fanbelts checked and renewed but the problem is getting worse. Any suggestions?

Likely to be a failing alternator. Could be the waterpump, but less likely.
