Fiat Panda - is it cam belt or timing chain?

I`ve just bought (privately) a Fiat panda 1.3 diesel registered Jan 2005.
I hear a lot of talk about timing and cam belts breaking and costing a fortune to repair.

What exactly are they and does my Panda have them both?

If so when should I replace them? My panda has done 76,000 miles.

This engine has a timing chain, but its lifer depends on running in clean oil. Normally I'd say change the oil and filter at least every year or every 10k miles, whichever comes first. On an engine that has already done 76k miles, change the oil and filter every 6 months or every 5k miles.
