Is a Touran diesel OK for stop/start traffic?

Given all you have said about diesels/particulate filters etc and their expense - if driving mostly short haul, stop start etc - what is a VW Touran 1.6 auto deisel like?

Not good. Better a 1.4TSI or 1.2TSI.
