I shall be buying again soon, and my tick list is:
1. Space for golf clubs and trolley.
2. A superb drive.
3. Up to 10 year longevity.

Desirable are:
1. Excellent performance.
2. Good reliability.
3. Good fuel consumption.

I have about £12,000 to spend. What would be my best buy?

You only have £12k so you're forced to look for something either heavily discounted or not new. Lots of space for Golf clubs in an old shape Honda Civic 1.8iVTEC, and up to 45mpg.
