Renault Scenic struggling on hills

Just bought my 1st second hand Renault Scenic she responds well and pulls away well on flat roads, but uphill it's a different story. Foot to the floor down to 2nd gear we're lucky to get 30. We live in Cornwall where it is hilly? It has been suggested it could be the coils, injectors or that Renaults are heavy cars and therefore expected!

It's not a quick car anyway. If the engine is revving hard then might need a clutch. Might be a stuffed cat converter.
