Replacing a SEAT Leon Cupra - but with what?

I read your review of the Seat Leon cupra and after a test drive agreed with every word you said, has been a fantastically fun car to drive and i have been very happy it. However as a 2003 the maintenance is becoming an issue and i think its time for a change.

A budget of about £10,000 at the maximum. I don't need the same level of performance but I need a car that is fun and involving to drive, a similar economy level is fine but nothing with a worse mpg. I do 20k a year. I've looked at everything from a 159 to a TT but I am sure I am overlooking a gem.

Something with a bit of class/style would be a bonus.

Try to find a Citroen DS3 1.6 THP 150. That's a great little car. Decent ride and handling. Will take four. 6 speed box. And up to 45mpg: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/citroen/citroen-ds.../
