Punto, security measures?

I have a Punto 2002. It's simple to break into, as the RAC said. Two times in 6 weeks I have been targeted. How simple is it to steal it if it's that easy to get inside? I know it has no factory alarm and no dead locks.

Please could you advise me on this matter and possibly suggest any cheap security measures to take. I have no stereo or fancy things to draw attention to my car.

I doubt anyone would bother except to joyride it. But easy enough to buy a steering wheel cover lock. No one ever tries to steal a cheap car with one of them on. See: www.disklokuk.co.uk/
