Why do other Subarus look 'taller' than mine?

I know it is very trivial, every time I see a similar car to mine it looks taller. Doesn't happen very often. I recently had the opportunity to park next to an identical car, including year, and mine appeared at least two inches lower, how could this be?

The car was bought used from the dealer who supplied it new and they said that as far as they knew the suspension had not been lowered. How could I tell if it has?

The others may have different wheels and tyres. An Outback should be about 2" taller than a Legacy.
