Is this DPF failure linked to my injectors?

I bought my 57 plate Passat 11 months old from main dealer, a Volkswagen demonstrator, serviced by them since.

I have had major problems since day 1: Almost all major components have been replaced, ie engine, gearbox, turbo and various others, it has done 156K now and the injectors were replaced today after I took it in for the DPF light coming on, never knew about injector problems before, so was pleased about that, then they told me I would have to pay £1700 for new DPF.

If the two problems are linked should they be charging me for the DPF? Last may I spent £1800 on replacing EGR valve and exhaust manifold and various pipes and other stuff(id be more specific but all paperwork is in the car and its still in the dealership).

At 156k miles you can expect to have to replace the DPF. But £1,700 is crazy money. Ford now does exchange coated DPFs for £300.
