Is the Volkswagen Eos worth almost £7,000 more than the Vauxhall Astra TwinTop?

We are both in our 60's and my wife wants to exchange our Skoda Fabia for a folding metal roof cabriolet. Reviews suggest that a Volkswagen Eos would be the best buy. However, the new model is not available until February and press reports suggest that prices will start from £22,800, a rise compared with the old model. An alternative would be the Astra TwinTop (1.6i Air), which I have seen, discounted at £15,445 and which we could buy immediately. Do you think that the Eos is worth the extra money and the wait? I am also a little concerned about the reports of leaky roofs in such cars. Is there any information about which leak the least?

I receive the fewest reports of leaks to the Astra TwinTop and Megane CC. Eos leak because the roof is in so many different parts it is impossible to completely and reliably seal.

Goes and handles well with space for four adults. Decent luggage trunk top up and fresh air top down.
