Truckulent

Am I correct that pick-up trucks are generally more reliable than cars? My partner is Cambodian and when we visit the country, together with Thailand, you see pick-up trucks everywhere. They are used by farmers, families and all types of tradespeople. You would not believe the loads they carry. I have seen pick up trucks carry well over a ton of cargo, maybe two tons. As for reliability they seem to go on for ever. Are they more reliable or am I fooling myself?

Yes, they are generally tougher, but the main reason is that they are made in Thailand and are therefore cheaper to buy there. Also more useful. You can get 12 people in a pick up. You can't in a Yaris.
