Which Civic engine?

I would like a petrol Honda Civic, 2007 onwards, and have up to £8000. I have found a 1.4 petrol manual, with 57 plate but only 16,000miles on clock on at 8000. Is this low mileage good, or is it so low that it might cause problems?

1.4 best avoided. Just not powerful enough. The 1.8 is fine and I got 45mpg out of one.
