Which used car should I buy?

I do a lot of motorway driving from Midlands to London at least twice a month, and back and fourth from Birmingham to Leicester.
Have seen two golfs, one is petrol 7,000 miles one owner, the other is diesel tdi 33,000 miles both are same year and price.

The diesel has a different make of tyre on every tyre - should that cause me concern?

Which engine in the petrol Golf.

If it's a 1.4TSI 122, go for that rather than the diesel.

That odd set of tyres would worry me. It might have done a lot more than the 33k on the clock.

What all weather tyres would you recommend for a 2.0-litre Frd C-Max on a 56-plate? We only do about 8000 miles per annum so do not think it economical to buy winter tyres.
