How can I give my Renault Trafic WAV a softer ride?
I have a Renault Trafic 2021 disabled conversion, is it possible to soften the ride in the back, when seated in the two chairs provided by the conversion. I'm thinking dampers or something else in that area of the rear axle ?.

From the factory commercial vehicles are designed with heavy loads in mind, and so the standard suspension can feel excessively harsh when just carrying passengers as the suspension is specified to cope with loads up to the vehicle's maximum carrying capacity.
The main issue is that while there are aftermarket suspension kits available for the Trafic, most of these are designed to either lower the vehicle or cope with heavy loads, neither of which will be beneficial in this situation. One option would be to order a set of custom springs from a specialist manufacturer that match the dimensions of your springs but have a lower rate of compression, or even progressive rate which gives a softer initial compression with a firmer compression at the end of the spring's travel. Alternatively there are a number of aftermarket companies who provide air suspension systems for WAVs, and while this would be a more expensive option, it would provide a much more comfortable ride as well as the option to adjust the height of the vehicle when stationary, making it much easier to enter and exit the vehicle.
