When should I change the transmission fluid on my Land Rover?
I have 62 plate Freelander 2 SD4, it has only covered 52000 miles and has had regular engine oil filter changes. Due to its age should I be changing the auto gearbox, transmission, diff and Haldex oil and filters?

While the Land Rover service intervals for these components are as high as 10 years or 150,000 miles, many independent Land Rover specialists suggest much shorter intervals. We would suggest finding a local independent Land Rover specialist for their recommendations, but the general consensus appears to be that the gearbox has an oil change every 50,000 miles, 20,000 miles for the Haldex unit and 100,000 miles for the the rear differential.
